Ring dish, treacle glaze
A little dish with a cone at its centre for rings to sit over, glazed treacle-dark and breaking to violet in the well.
Sold, in someone’s home
One of one · Nº 8
Small, round, and thrown with a cone rising from the middle, the sort of thing that only makes sense once you have slipped a ring over it and understood what it is for.
The glaze runs treacle-dark and glassy down the cone and around the outside wall, thinning to a warm rust along the rim where it went over the edge. In the well it does something else entirely: it breaks into violet, deep teal and a green like a wet stone, pooling in rings where the dish is deepest. None of that was arranged.
Wide enough around the cone for the earrings that come off at the same time.
